Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Carla — MsGriff07 (posted on August 23, 2007)

Congrats on your new regime!!! I seems to me everyone has a "needle
stall" around this part of the program. Relax, keep doing what your
doing. Your body just needs a sec to regroup and figure out what is going
on.

This is exactly what happened to me and then I lost 5lbs this week so hang
in there and keep doing everything right just as you've been doing!

Perhaps you have dieted on and off most of your life. If so, your body has
probably gone into "refusal to starve" mode. It may not be able
to differentiate between what you've done in the past and what you are
doing now. It is probably hanging on to the "fat reserves"
necessary to avoid starvation. I agree with the previous answer that your
body needs to figure out what is going on. Hang in there. Your work will
be rewarded. Stalls are common.

everything your doing sounds right on track, you will find @ different
stages you will hit plateaus~we all do....you can also take your
measurements when you weigh in as well; for me when i was that early out
and noticed a stall on my scale loss i would measure and see that inches
were coming off. you are doing great keep up the new regimen it will jump
start again, stay focussed and positive and congrats on the 21% that's an
awesome start !!!!!

I'm not a vet, but I know about plateau's...sounds like you have hit one.
Your body has gotten used to what you are doing, so you need to shock it by
doing some different exercises...anything that will make you body think,
whoa k, this is different...just remember everytime this happens, you have
to shock your body...good luck and God Bless!

muscle weighs more than fat -- you are replacing the fat with muscle
because you are exercising -- how do your clothes fit??? see any difference
there?? good luck :)

Common MYTH-- "Muscle weighs more than fat." NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!
1 lb of muscle weighs as much as 1 lb of fat. Fat takes up more space, is
more bulky, muscle is more dense and takes up less space. That's why when
you lose fat, you don't always lose lbs, but you lose inches. Just wanted
to help try to get this into everyone's head about the COMMON MYTH..
