Question:
I have awful pain from my incision just to the left of my naval.
This pain feels likes it is ripping and a burning somewhat numb pain. And stings! I called my surgeon. He called in antibotics. Said if not better by tomorrow call him back. It started Friday night. I called him Saturday. Has anyone else had this? I am really scared! I can barley move! Thanx,Karen — ladytexas36 (posted on April 30, 2006)

Yes. I did. I had some "wrong move, sharp pain" feelings much
like you describe. I can remember one particular night of really sharp
searing pain where I was lying in bed and could not get up. One false move
and it felt like something in there was tearing apart! I had to shuffle
and slide my way out of bed which hurt like heck. Follow your doctor's
guidance to the letter--I'm sure they told you no heavy bending and
lifting, and whatnot. Hang in there. I lived, for what it's worth. It's 6
weeks post op and I feel back to normal.

I had it too and it turned out to be bruising in the stomach muscles from
the surgery. My doctor said the bruising was normal and it did go away but
its a real "PAIN" when you try and move!

Thank you very much Lea and Veronica! My pain is finally subsiding. My
doctor had called in an antibotic and it actually worked by the time he
said it would! It taste awful! Cephalexin. Hey but it worked. I Thank you
ladies very much for your support and helping me through a scary painful
time! God Bless you! And take care. Thank you again.
