Question:
i am 5weeks post op, and have been having this overproduction of saliva . i have read
i have read some of the responses, and they do not relate to me at all. first of all i have little or no appetite, so it is not my eating too much or too fast. i have to spit continuously, except when i am sleep of course. i have also developed a sore throat due to this, i hope i don't have an infection. i called my dr's office and was told that this happens to some patients and it will pass, when will it pass. i am very depressed and sick to my stomach with all this saliva in my mouth. can anyone help? thanks anita — ANITA L. The only time I have every got that symptom was when I ate too much, but
since you aren't eating much that can't be the reason for you. I have heard
that draining sinuses can cause that too. Perhaps a decongestant would
help. Good Luck

Anita, I had that symptom. I was prescribed Claritin. It works! When you
throw up is it white foamy stuff? If it is, then you could be like me and
have sinus drainage. Doesn't take much to fill that 1 oz pouch. Hope this
helps.
