Question:
I have a sharp pain where one of the incisions are.

I had the gastric sleeve done in March and have lost 107 lbs. Everything has been going great with no complications at all. But the last couple of days I have had a sharp pain at one of the incisions when I move a certain way or even rub my finger over that incision. I'm not sure if I have eaten to much for the holidays or if it's a staple under the incision or what. Any Ideas?    — burchs (posted on December 30, 2011)

Congrats on your weight loss! WTG! I would not hesitate contacting my surgeon's office. He will probably want to see you to make sure that there isn't an ulcer forming or that a staple did not come loose. It isn't worth taking a chance, in my opinion. It may be nothing, but why risk it? Good luck!
