Question:
Wii Fit-what does everyone recommend as far as the Wii,

I want to get a Wii for the exercise, but have no idea what to get for it, anyone have suggestions for fun exercises with it? I love to dance, kickboxing, yoga. I would love to hear from you all! Thanks so much!    — eyeflirt4fun (posted on February 23, 2010)

I love my Wii!!! I think it is a great exercise routine. The Wii Fit includes yoga, strength training, balance games and aerobics. The hula hoop routine is a good workout and will make you sweat. I could really tell a difference in my backside!! You will need a balance board for the Wii Fit. I also just bought the Wii Active which includes cardio boxing, bicep curls, inline skating, squats, lunges, cardio dancing tricep kickbacks, volleyball etc. I just received it in the mail and have not tried it yet, but I can't wait! You will find that it is money well spent and it is so much fun. I like the idea that you do not have to go to a gym everyday and can do this right in your own home!! Good Luck with your decision and keep us posted!!

i enjoyed wii fit at first but then it became too time consuming to set up. Now I have ea sports active for the wii and i absolutely love it. I even ordered the more workouts that's available for abs. I am currently doing the 30 day challenge on easy and after 15 days it's finally showing me a difference in my arms and stamina. I highly recommend it. i just bought a heavier weight band though. The one that comes with it is very weak.

I agree with a few posters. I have EA Active- and I love it. You don't need the wii fit for it- it uses just the regular wii. it's a great game and I like it for cardio and toning.

The wii fit is a fun and makes exercising entertaining. It is a light workout but enjoyable. I like the boxing in the aerobics and the step aerobics and the hoola hoop are fun and will burn some calories. It is good to use it with other more intense workouts if you are at a more advanced level. The yoga and strength training do seem pretty good I haven't done them alot.

I bought a used Wii from my 91 y/o neighbor. Why her daughter thought she would be able to use it at her age is beyone me... lol. Anyway, my daughter asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told her I wanted the Wii Fit Plus. I am hear to tell you, I have exercised almost everyday for an hour on it. It is so much fun and I haven't been bored a bit! I will order the EA Sports Active and try it just for variety, but there is so much variety on the Wii Fit Plus, an hour flies by. I do mostly the Advanced Aerobics and Expert Boxing with breaks in between sets to do some of the balance games and the Wii Fit Plus games.

Wii Active is great! I also like the Cardio Workout and Personal Trainer. I'm not a great fan of the Jillian Michael's challenge; it's too hard for me at this time. It involves lots of running, which I find difficult. The Fit and Fit Plus are ok for having fun and still getting some workout in, especially if you have kids that may be joining in. The only bad thing about it is that you do the activity for a short period of time, than start over on that activity or a new one.

There is a *new* release of a game called "Biggest Loser" for the Wii, courtesy of the reality game show. Some of the exercises are awesome ... not hard, but you WILL break a sweat. Good luck and have fun :-)
