I am nearing my one year anniversary on August 11 (my new birthday) and I
have absolutely no regrets!(Only that I wasn't able to do it sooner) I was
able to lose 46 lbs. prior to surgery and since surgery I am down 110.
Total of 156 pounds. (A whole person and not a small one at that!) Just
50-70 lbs and I will be at goal. It has opened up a whole new life for me.
I cannot say it has been smooth sailing all along but it has been much
easier than anticipated and the long-term effects/benefits are awesome.
I had multiple co-morbidities and was taking 14 different meds now I am med
free! Hang on girl, it's a wonderful, life changing ride! Best of luck on
your journey & may God bless!

I had Lap Band 10 months ago - No regrets here either - I am down 78 pounds
& feel fabulous! It did take me longer than it should have to find my
"sweet spot" in regards to how full my band should have been,
therefore I have not lost as much weight as I should/could have. I simply
did not know how it was supposed to feel and I needed to take the time to
adjust, re-learn to eat, and mostly to learn to use this wonderful tool.
My advice to you is to make sure you get fills regularly until you are at
the right fill capacity - you'll know it when it happens! Also, remember
that weight loss with the Lap Band is typically slower than with Roux En Y
- and for me, exercise is a MUST. Good Luck to you! You're making a big
decision that will be a positive change in your life if you work with it!
