Question:
Did anyone gain weight right after surgery? I had lost 7 post op and weighed 10 lbs h

i AWAIT my surgery in July and have been told that i will expect a gain right after surgery due to the filling the belly with air and bloating.So im prepared to have this happen so i wont be surprised!

i was 10 lbs heavier when i got home from the hospital. but then it all went away about 3-4 days later. they put a lot of fluid in you and you come home all bloated. pretty gross!

I had my surgery May 12th and when I went home I had gained Seven pounds ?? lol the doctor told me that the ivs you get when your in the hospital will do that all that liquid

I gained some weight too, and it really freaked me out. But within a week, it was all gone.

The Iv and the gas will make you gain weight.I gained 11lbs with surgery! They laughed when I said umm I thought I was suppose to lose weight!

I had RNY on May 20. I am now 8 days post-op and still bloated from the IV fluids.

My surgery was May 28 and when I was discharged on May 30 I was 15 lbs heavier. I couldn't believe it. I told everyone that I had to be the only person to go in for gastric bypass and come out 15 lbs heavier. I thought "How dare they so thoroughly hydrate me?" hehehehe However as of today I have lost the 15. Woo Hoo lol...
