Question:
Can somebody help explain to me the ROSE procedure & its success rate?
I had open RNY in 1/2002. Pre-op weight 259, lowest weight 145, current weight 186. I am seriously considering having this procedure done but it is not covered by insurance ever and I would be paying $13,000 approximately to have it done. While I am desperate for a second chance, I am hesitant to try it without hearing somebody's success story (or otherwise). Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks...I am new to this site and anxious for feedback! :) — [Deactivated Member] (posted on May 9, 2009)

I dont have an answer and I've never heard of it, but I just had to write
because you sound so much like me. I had mine done in 2002 and gained
about 40 of my lbs lost. (In all, I only lost 60lbs and that was from
RNY!!!) So I'd like to have a second chance but with much caution and
insight. I hope someone responds to your post so that we both can have this
knowledge.

This is a great success story from a patient that went to a surgeon near
me! :)
