That's because you look at yourself everyday. 65ls is great, and think of it in the terms of putting that much ON, what a difference you would have seen. The other day I arrested a guy who had not seen me in a year - and he did not recognize me, actually asked me where I was, twice. Give it time, and it is normal, and there will be feel good moments popping up, if you let them.

I know how you feel but you have done great. I started out at 376 and even after I had lost 100 pounds I still thought I looked big or bigger. Then my brother-in-law showed me a picture of me a month before my surgery (March 7th-surgery date) and I couldn't believe it was me. Now after losing 180 pounds I am dealing with not buying too big clothes (my old size of 5x to 3x). Like the guy before I went to where I worked three years ago and none of them had seen me in about a year and guess what they didn't know me either. Talk about feeling good it did! You will notice a difference especially in how your health improves and energy so give it time and you'll be there. Just keep on going it will be worth it. My prayers are with you and everyone who is a weight loss patient.

Hi GF: I was the same way too. I knew that 65 lbs was a lot, but I just didn't see it like others did. I felt more energy, and my clothes were looser...but...I still felt fat. By the time I lost 80...I really felt it. We will probably always have a skewed/twisted image of ourselves. The true test is when you catch a glimpse of somebody in a mirror and think ..."hey that's what i would like to look like"....and then you realized it IS you! I have done this about three times now while shopping and I still am stunned when I catch myself off guard in a mirror! The real weight loss is to come...because as you get smaller (Which you are) the more noticeable each step closer to your bones! Look at your legs, darlin'....They look hot! :) You are doing wonderful! Hugs

Hopefully we all were informed going in that this could be a mental issue for us as well. And that is where you might be now. YOU'VE LOST 65+ POUNDS. Say it to yourself as many times as you need, and be very proud!! I can definitely see that you have loss weight all over. Keep going, it will get even better. BE BLESSED.

Kim Dear, you should have taken measurements just before surgery. You have lost 65 lbs and that is a lot of fat. Got to the store and just look at one pound of chicken fat and you can get an idea of what you have lost times 65. As you know I lost 60 pounds and it is mostly in my waste and neck. My waste is 11" smaller and my neck is 1-1/2" smaller, but my hips and check are the same. Don't you notice it in some clothes? Love the new pictures. The cat is cute. Daddy W.

I noticed it in your face, that's the first place EVERYONE will notice it. You need to "lose" the flannel, you don't need to hide your progress! 65 pounds in 3 months is FANTASTIC, can't wait to see your progress in another 3 months!!!!! Keep up the GREAT work!

I, myself, didn't notice a difference until about 8 months out, and then I saw a HUGE difference at 10 months out when I put my first before surgery picture and my 10 month picture side by side. However, all my friends and family kept telling me they saw a big difference at about 3 months out. As other poster's have said, you see yourself everyday. Just relish in the fact that you have lost 65 lbs! I know your clothes fit differently and you have probably lost at least one clothing size! Enjoy, and God bless!

Kim, honey, it's quite normal. I don't really see myself any smaller either. Eventually, our eyes will catch up. :o) Hope all is well with you.

Hi Kim, I started this adventure at 444 pounds last Feb, 2007. I'm only a month and a half out. I lost 51 pounds before surgery and couldn't tell a difference and another 41 since. I'm just now seeing and feeling a difference. I'm told that we lose internal fat around our heart, liver, etc first. That's all good stuff! Just disapointing when you don't see it after all the effort. Hang in there, you'll soon see the changes. I've taken monthly pictures to doument the changes. Good luck! Bob, aka moterman

Kim - Congrats! on your weight loss. That is awesome for 3 mos. I do see a difference in your pictures. It took me awhile to notice on myself. People who hadn't seen me in a while could tell right off. Give it time... Enjoy the journey...I'm 16 mos out and have lost a total of 116 lbs as of today. I just had plastic surgery on my arms and all around my waist. I'm going on 4 weeks out on that. This is another adventure. What a ride..... Best of Luck

My weight lost seemed very uneven in the beginning. My breasts were the first to go which made my lower body look even bigger! Hang in there and all will be well. I went from almost 250 to 115 and I can buy breasts if I want them badly enough! Your body is changing so quickly right now, give it time and try not to be so critical of your appearance, it is likely changing on a daily basis! Best wishes!
