Constipation has been my worst problem since surgery. I am taking 2
senokots every night so far. It does not cause cramping and just makes
things soft. You can take as many as 8 a day according to the
instructions, I think. CGarber

Its considered a stool softener or a very mild laxative. I take 2-3 daily.
I've used it for over 6 months now. It makes life much easier for me.
Without it, I know I'd still be constipated, and I'd rather take the
tablets.

Hi Lyne, I don't know what Senokot is, but I use miralax for
constipation, and it works very well. You can get it at Wal Mart or a
pharmacy, or by another brand name by perscription. It is a powder that
you drink with water or juice. It does not thicken up and it is not
habitforming. It works very well. I only use a half dose though, as I
have the smaller pouch with the RNY. Banders probably can take a full
dose, but I don't. You can also search on webmd.com about your
perscription and see if they have info. You can also call a pharmicist for
their advice. Thanks. Patricia P.
