Didn't you get a post-op list of what to have from your dietician?

Well certainly if the energey drink or any drink has sugar, that would be
no you can't have it. Stay away from those drinks or even OJ, apple juice
or anything laden with sugar. Any liquid will go right through your pouch
and will not stretch it, but if there is sugar, that will add carbs to your
diet.

I would check with your DR. I was told no caffinated beverages. I do
drink Achieve One which has some caffine, but does not make me ill. It
also has 20 grams of protein and tastes yummy! (it's a coffee drink kinda
like the little starbucks ones in the glass bottles) I get them from
www.c2linfo.com and there are real people there who can answer your
questions. I think I would avoid the red bull or other "diet"
energy drinks. I believe one reason is we are more likely to get ulcers
and those drinks can cause them. Hope this helps! Best of luck to you!

For me personaly I can have a SF Red Bull. I shake it up really well and
then I put it in a glass with tons of ice and let it sit for a while to let
the carbination fizz out. I never ever finish even close to half and I use
it as a special drink type treat thing, like when my husband is having a
glass of wine or something. I was told by my surgeon that caffine wasnt bad
for me. I am not suggesting that you drink it at all, this is all my
personal opinion.
