Question:
Drinking and eating after lap band adjustments
Hi All, I had lap band surgery in December and after this last adjustment, I can hardly eat anything and drinking water has become difficult. I know I'm not getting enough liquids. Sometimes I even have to upchuck my own saliva. I am not enjoying this. Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks — suefeds (posted on May 5, 2007)

It sounds like you have to tight a fill. You need an unfill before you
cause your band to slip. If you can't drink you will get dehydrated and end
up in hospital so call your surgeon as soon as possible.

I agree with Maureen. You need to get back to your dr asap and get some of
the fluid removed. Don't wait!

I endorse all of the above. A too-tight fill is misery, and a potentially
dangerous one at that. Don't wait.

Yeah listen to everyone. Get to your Dr. get the band unfilled.
Your the one that knows how it feels and what is happening to you.
