Angela,
I had surgery on 02-06-06. My surgeon/dietician requires that I have at
least 71 g. of protein per day. I also have a multivitamin, vitamin c,
b-12, flax and calcium to take everyday. In addition, I need at least 64
ozs of water (decaf, s/f, no carbonation counts toward my water intake).
Your dietician or surgeon should be providing you with the
"right" foods. For me at 2 weeks post-op, it was full
liquids...that basically included protein drinks, broth, cream of chicken,
cream of mushroom, s/f popsicles, s/f jello, water, decaf iced tea, s/f
koolaid. I hope that helps. Tammy

Angela, each surgeon's program is different and you need to check with
him/her about what you can have right now. I was only allowed to have
soft/pureed foods at two weeks. You said you were tired, this is completely
normal. Expect that for at least a month. I felt tired for about two months
after my surgery. Your body has been through a lot (your insides were
rearranged!) and it was not in the greatest shape before surgery because of
the morbid obesity.
