Question:
Why do I have stomach aches before it is time to eat?
I've been told to eat every two hours, which helped alot during the day. Water does nothing, sometimes makes it worst. But I wake up with the same constant ache from not eating all night while asleep. It's annoying and my wls doc don't seem to know what it is. My primary doc is running tests.???? But other then that, the food I eat is considered normal and healthy and I exercise everyday and is losing weight (45 pounds in two months (Dec 1, 2005)). But this stomach ache is like an alarm clock or a reminder to start eating, because the ache will go away when I eat. After two hours, hungry or not....ache, ache, ache....What is that? The ache reminds me of an old bladder infection I had many years ago. The ache is centered around my navel area. — barbara248 (posted on February 18, 2006)

Have you been checked for an ulcer? I was told that ulcers often feel like
a knawing pain that gets better when you eat.
Good luck.

my physician took his patients off prilosec b/c quite a few of his pts.
were experiencing problems like what you have mentioned. Now all his pts.
go home on Zantac, poof, no more problems. Maybe you can ask your DR to
switch your meds.

Well, I had the same problem alot of it I think was nerves about having the
surgery and wanting it to work. And another I feel I was under alot of
stress (mind) at the time. Just quit worring about everything and I had it
for about 4 months and it disappeared it doesn't bother me anymore. I will
be a yr. out in April and have lost about 100 lbs. (all I need to lose) I
am down to a size 6-8 from a 18-20. If you would like to talk more please
write me...Have a good losing day :) Cindy

Could it just be that you are over hungry? I found that eating more often
and keeping just a little bit in the pouch at all times helped with my
stomach pains. Also, Previcid or Acifex works very well for stomach pains
as well. Just and idea! You might want to keep on your doctor about this
though because it does sound a bit like some sort of ulcer. Good luck!!
