Question:
has anyone ever just have theirs thighs lifted, instead of the lower body lift?
I was woundering if anybody had their thighs and calfs done at portsmouths naval hospital. i have alot of loose skin from my thighs and on the top part of my calfs. i'm on the waiting list for the tummy tuck and arm lift right now. please let me know. i'm down from 300lbs down to 151.8. have a nice day. — Barbara M. I had a lower body lift (LBL) which includes a tummy tuck, outer thigh lift
and butt lift. The LBL doesn't address inner thigh or redundant skin to
the knee so I had to have an inner thigh lift in order to complete the
smooth look on the thighs.

Like the other poster said, the LBL does not address the inner thighs or
saggy knees etc., at all. It is strictly the lower torso and the outer
thighs and butt. If you don't have a lot of excess in the upper thighs
then you would probably do fine with just an inner thigh lift. I'm having
mine next Wed. I've already had the LBL and basically an upper body lift,
although it was mainly finishing the abdonminal skin above the navel that
could not be taken care of in the LBL procedure.

I know for me the ideal order would have been to do the inner
thighs first, then the LBL because what has happened is over time the outer
thighs and butt have been pulled down some by all of the excess weight of
the legs. Graity sure is a mean monster. However, if I had gotten rid of
all the leg skin first, then did the LBL the results would likely have been
amazing and would have stayed put. The results of doing the procedures in
the order I had them done is still amazing but everything did not stay put.
I expect to have one last pull up of the outer thighs and butt at some
future date to remove the stuff that got stretched out from the leg weight.
I'm hoping if I can find the money to do my arms and breasts that I would
get the LBL revision done at the same time as it would not be very
extensive compared to the first time. Also doing it as a 2nd procedure
would drastically reduce my cost for it. The doc may feel it's too long a
surgery but then again I've survived 10-3/4 hrs and 8-1/2 hrs so far for
the two PS's I've had done. I expect next weeks to be about 8 to 8-1/2
hrs. He's scheduled it for 7 hours but he always runs longer because he's
such a perfectionist. I'm totally self pay this time so I hope I don't end
up with more than 1 night in the hospital because ever night costs $700
plus drugs. Maybe I can bring my pwn pain drugs and save the money.

I do have a few concerns as to how my legs will look because I
have very large knee bones and good sized calfs and I don't want my upper
legs to be smaller than them. It seems that if he takes all the excess
skin I will have skinnier thighs but I just need to trust he will do what
is right for a good visual result. He has done wonders by me so far. I
wish he was removing some of the excess fat and skin on the calfs too but
he said doing the lower legs is a real mess and can have major healing
issues with swelling and blood flow etc. So I guess I wait it out and hope
for the best.
