Question:
What are those floaties in Isopure?
I bought a premixed Isopure in a bottle last night from GNC. It has these little floaties in it. What are they? Is it old? Is that normal? Kinda gross. But I gotta know before I drink it if you know what I mean. Thanks. — Cheri M. (posted on February 9, 2002)

There were no floaties in mine and I have a case.

I just bought Isopure for the first time, and mine have floaties in it
also. I'm sure it's normal since it's in both of ours.

Mind you, I'm by no means an expert, but I thought the stuff floating
around was the actual 'protein'. I bought three at once. I drank the blue
one, it was actually pretty tasty. Then I drank another colored one (I
forget now which it was) and it was n-a-s-t-y! I've had the other one in
my fridge at work for three months now afraid of what it will taste like.
I paid $3.50 for it or I would pour it down the sink. Sorry, but it's the
truth. I will try it one day when I'm feeling very brave.

Okay, to clear up the floaties...when I first bought it I was grossed out
by the floaties too. I called the store and they said it was the protein
and to shake it up really well. I have my husband shake it as my muscles
aren't as big and strong! LOL. He turns it upside down and shakes really,
really hard till it actually becomes foamy. After sitting for a while, the
floaties are gone. By the way, I find the Alpine Punch to be the best
tasting, followed by the Grape, then the Blue Raspberry. The Green Apple
and the Orange are pretty disgusting, so if that's what you had then I
don't blame you for being afraid, but the other flavors are really very
good, so shake, shake, shake and enjoy!
