The only solution I can suggest is to try to at least maintain your weight.
If a requirement for surgery is pre-op weight loss then that is what you
will have to do. The theory is that if you keep gaining weight now you will
gain back any weight loss after surgery. Also, any weight you can lose
before surgery will shrink your liver and that makes the surgery safer.

I want you to know you are not alone, I also gained but in my last 2 weeks
of normal food just before my liquid diet started. 1st I am sorry you are
gaining and stressing. 2nd the Supervised Diet is a 2 fold criteria. 1. To
try to and get you down to a safer weight for surgery and 2 the most
IMPORTANT PART TO SEE IF YOU CAN FOLLOW THE RULES OF GASTRIC SURGERY. Cause
this is only a tool not an answer to all our problem. In 1 of my groups
they say things like THEY OPERATE ON YOUR STOMACH NOT YOUR HEAD where there
is head hunger and craving. BUT MY DEAR there is HOPE. I say start using
some type of food logger/tracker. SparkPeople.com, MyFitnessPal.com. *I am
currently using MyFitnessPal and I am just over a month post-op* Just to
make you more aware of what you eating and how much exercise you are
getting, cause you can log both. Remember eat your protein first then
veggies then what ever carb you have on your plate. Start now the pick up
spoon or fork and put it down between bites and chew like crazy. Also start
using a smaller plate. Lastly, start swapping meats out for healthier types
like ground turkey or ground chicken. That is all the advise my clinic gave
me. Blessing to you....and remember you are only human...dont beat yourself
up.

Sorry but no the insurance wont approve your surg date yet until you meet
your weight requirements as well as the other requirements, did your
dietitian prescribe PHENTAMINE as part of your weight loss diet? if not ask
her to, its an appetite supresant THAT WORKS!!! you have to take it early
in the morning due to the fact that IF YOU TAKE IT LATER IN THE DAY YOU
WONT SLEEP AT NIGHT YOU WILL BE WIDE AWAKE, BUT it gives you astonishing
energy and which helps burn fat as you do 101 things throughout the
day...its great it does make you VERY DIRSTY...VERY VERY VERY THIRSTY SO
YOU DRINK WATER CONSTANTLY which helps also with your weight loss...the
only downfall is that since you are litteraly not hungry you have to fallow
your diet and eat even though your not hungry....but believe me it will
work...I a 6 months post op and before I had my surg I was on it for a few
months and fallowed my diet and I dropped 43 lbs before surgery....I have
lost a total of 131 lbs...and still lossing...good luck and kep us posted
on your progress

I don't know if this would work or not. I'm from PA and for the 6 month
supervised diet, I did Weight Watchers. When I followed it, I cut way down
on carbs (anything with white flour, potatoes, etc) There is also a group
on OH that deal with doing Atkins which stress no/low carb eating. It
seems for a lot of people, me included, are really sensitive to surgar,
flour, etc. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!
