Question:
6 Months Out...not feeling to well
Im 6 months out and only have lost 64lb...I've only lost about 15lb from January to this date. I feel very discouraged. I dont think i can eat more than 5 oz a meal, i get hungry sooner than what i know im supposed to. Im in school so its kind of hard to do the excercise..I try walking instead of taking the bus...everyone tells me I have lost weight but im very disapointed that its not more than 64 lb..is this normal weight loss for a person who is 6 months out? — Laritza10 (posted on April 19, 2010)

Don't beat yourself up, Wow 64 lbs is great!! You may be losing inches even
if your not seeing your scales moving. Make sure you are getting your
liquids in, sometimes we forget that we are not really drinking as much as
we should, that will slow your weight loss. Good Luck and God Bless!!

You're doing great and appear perfectly on schedule as far as far as
average weightloss goes. Good job. Keep up your fluids and do try to work
in some exercise though to keep moving that scale down. Are you keeping
track of your calories? If not, you need to or else your NUT can't help you
tweak your eating plan. You can consume small amounts of high calories
and/or eat too little and stall your weightloss. Often more than not we
don't eat enough and cause our body to go into starvation mode which
results in no weightloss, and not intentionally, it's just all we feel we
can hold. So, track those calories, carbs, etc. I use the daily plate on
livestrong.com but there are lots of them out there that are free and let
you print out your journal to take to your nutritionist.

That is great weight loss, congratulations! Ten pounds a month is
fantastic. You are loosing at a rate that is healthy and you will keep it
off easier. Also, your skin has a much better chance of keeping up with
your body and not sagging. Please don't be discouraged! Just be careful
of what you eat...lots of protein is important. When you get hungry, eat
some yogurt, a couple of pieces of low fat cheese, cottage cheese, deli
sliced meats, these will keep you full longer because they are high
protein. Keep up the good work!
