I had surgery on Nov 17th. I was told at my 3 month appointment the pouch
eventually becomes the size of a fist; I am assuming that is if one follows
their plan.

You will be able to eat the amount of a regular small person.

I am one year out from my RNY and I would say I can eat about 1 cup of
solid food, but it really does depend on what it is, and because you can
eat a certain food one day doesn't mean you will be able to eat it the
next. It is a real challenge, but you learn to adjust.
My surgeon also puts a silastic ring at the exit of the revised stomach to
that you don't have any stretching of the stoma where some surgeons do not
do this and their patients over time "stretch" their stoma and
can eat more.

In our classes they told us after RNY your "pouch" is about as
big as your thumb.
