Question:
How much weight do most people lose in the first few months after lap GB surgery?

I had open RNY four months ago, and have lost 70 pounds. I don't think
that there's any real difference in weight loss whether it's lap or open.
Hope this helps you.

Hi Susan, I am 8 1/2 weeks out Lapband and I am down 25 lbs down. I am sure
I would be more if I would be able able to exercise more. I now have
siatica and it is painful to walk. I still feel that it may be slow but I
am still extremly happy! Keep plugging

Hi Susan.... I am nearly 6 months post-op lap RNY, and since the day of
surgery, I have lost 80 pounds. But I started on a diet before my surgery,
and so total, as of this morning, I have lost 105 pounds. I have 32 pounds
to go to make my surgeon's goal for me, or 52 pounds to make MY goal.

Hi - I had my lap RNY May 13, 2009, and I am today out 70 lbs. I have hit a
plateau for a wek once a month, but other than that I lose anywhere from
2-10 pounds in a week - just depends on how much I exercise and that I get
in my protein. I did not lose any weight before my surgery. Everyone is
different, however, and some will losr more quickly and some more slowly -
depends on your phisiology, how much you have to lose in the first place,
etc.
