Question:
HOW LONG DO A GOOD RESTRICTION LAST
ONCE YOU REACH THE POINT WHERE YOU HAVE GOOD RESTRICTION, HOW LONG DOES IT LAST BEFORE YOU WOULD HAVE TO GET ANOTHER FILL. — kywade (posted on February 9, 2009)

It all depends. Right at the beginning, we highly recommend that patients
follow-up every two weeks for adjustments as necessary to obtain
restriction quickly. Further along, once you lose weight the outlet gets
larger permitting you to eat larger amounts. If you are eating larger
meals, snacking, or not losing at least 1-2 pounds per week, you usually
need an adjustment. Your target should be to get to the "green
zone".

I am 2 and a half years out from lapband surgery. I reached my goal weight
within the first year. I have only had 1 adjustment in about a year now. I
have no trouble in maintaining for a long period of time. Everyone is
different and once you reach your ideal weight you will see if is easy to
stay at it for long periods of time.
