Question:
MEN! How to contain post-op loose skin B4 plastic can be done??
I read all the posts targeted to ladies about the subject. How do the guys do it? Am I buying a girdle? Honestly, I don't care, I just need to know if there are male oriented solutions available and what they are. Thanks! Rob Nielsen — rdnielsen (posted on August 24, 2008)

I'm all for guys hanging together and all that but I think loose skin is
gender non-specific.

Yes there are garments for men. I regularly wear #996 as I am a CEO of a
company and have to do many public appearences and key note speaches. but
even at my club, I have found the Spandex garments that I wear help shrink
the skin on my 62 year old body and at the same time allow me to wear off
the shelf suites and pants without alteration. The garments have allow
along with excercise to shrink a lot of my skin on my stomach and chest.
The company is called underworks www.underworks.com and they have a 800
number on their web site. When you call tell them you are a bariatric
patients and they can tell you about garments they make for bariatric
patients that have extra skin issues to deal with. I am happy with their
#996. Best of success to you.

Also, I been told to wait at least 18 months from your WLS date to look at
plastic surgery. Let me know how you find and how it goes. I will have
issues with my neck arms and legs.

Hi there Rob. At my support group meeting on Saturday, one of the guys
said he wears Underarmor's compression shorts and shirts. They hold
everything in and since they're sports wear, they wick away perspiration
and he says they're comfy.

The easiest is Bike Brand compression shorts (there are other easily
available compression shorts and tops....google that). Also, try this
website (quality products): http://www.bella-jane.com/default.htm.
