In moderation, I'd say yes. Grapes, and alcohol in general are highly
concentrated sources of sugar. You may get dumping syndrome. You'll
probably get "tipsy" quickly, but the effects supposedly wear off
quickly. I've yet to try alcohol in the 1 1/2 years since my surgery.

I haven't had any problems drinking wine. No dumping syndrome. Yes you
may get tipsy faster.

I've had no problems drinking wine either--- in fact I like it better
because no carbination, more comfortable to drink, and yes you will get
tipsy faster:)

You will get tipsy much faster, but like the others have said I'd wait
until you know about your ability to do the sugar/dumping. Take your
time.....

I've had rny and at about 4 months out I had wine. I did some checking
around and blushes and zin. have too much sugar. I can't handle more than
about 8 grams of sugar. Red was lower in sugar but I don't like red. I
had a chardoney and that settled just fine. I did get tipsy quick but had
to keep drinking to keep the buzz up because it goes through your system
quickly. Enjoy!
