i'm not sure, but it sounds like it's hormone related. if your gyn doesn't
know the answer, i'm not sure you'll get an answer. i know your pain,
because i have the same problem since i have gained all my weight.. i was
hoping it would get better after surgery, but maybe not since you are
experiencing the same thing. i saw ky has a new product --it's a gel
capsule you insert into the vagina and it moisturizes for like up to 4days
or something. check it out . hope this helps... Holly

I'm not sure if this is the reason but it seems like it could
be............Our estrogen is stored in our fat cells. We are losing tons
of fat cells, so we too are having our estrogen become out of whack. Our
estrogen is our female hormone so that probably regulates the
"moisture". If it isn't right it still sounds good! : )

You do not say how old you are, but as you get older and head into
perimenopause and menopause vaginal dryness is an issue sometimes. I had
that issue and at the age of 50 my OB/GYN put me on Premarin in a vaginal
creme and my wonderful sex life could not better. Dryness? What Dryness.
I do not know if that helps, but it helped me tremendously. Premarin is my
new favorite friend.

I am 27 and have always had this problem, when I was fat and when I got to
my lowest weight. I know it has to be hormone related.

It has nothing to do with the weight loss. It's a hormone imbalance. YOu
need to see your ob and get on progesterone(gel pills) and something called
Vagifem. The Vagifem itself will help restore the moisture. They will
really help. I know..

Ive had this problem at my highest weight and now after losing 95lbs. I
understand what you are going through. I use KY too.

Try taking the maximum dose of Vitamin E daily along with drinking all of
your water. I've been taking Vitamin E for years and I have yet to be dry
anywhere including my skin.

I would guess it is hormonal. If your ob/gyn hasn't done labwork to check
your hormones, it might be worthwhile asking him/her to do so.
You definitely are not alone!!! You might want to check out some of the
other lubricants available. I really dislike the way KY feels.
http://secure.condomania.com/prodinfo.asp?number=L-MLS-SL sells a
"sampler" of lubes... $11.95 for 13 or $29.95 for 39 --- I had
no idea there were so many out there!!
