You just had surgery 3 days ago, give it a bit of time. In a week, you
should be running around like a mad person you will have so much energy.

Hi Elisa, thanks for writing. I had RNY 3.5 years ago, and last March (07)
I had a twisted bowel from adhesians. They removed a lot of scar tissue
and said I would be doing alright in about 3 weeks. They were wrong. I
was in pain for about 6 weeks, it was much worse than wls. It just takes
time. I healed well, it just took 6 weeks. Take your time and your pain
meds. Be patient, this is a tough surgery. Take care. Patricia P.

I had lap band just over two weeks ago (07/20/07) with hiatal hernia and
GERD repair. The most pain has been the gas almost all the way up the
chest cavity. i think the turning point is that 12/13 day.
I am doing so much better now. Have had several abdominal surgeries over
the last 20 years, but no adhesion issues to date as well as cervical and
lumbar fusions.
