Plz go and check it with your doctor. They have to do the tests in order to know the problem. My best guess is just go first to the hospital. Dont wait for answers here on this site.

I'm going to be another person to ask if you had your Gallbladder out, it could be a gallstone attack. I had similar symptoms. Definitely phone the Doctor, but if you find yourself going to the ER, ask them to check for Gallstones

Could be your gall bladder, or it could be something twisting and untwisting. I have had the same thing and finally asked my WLS surgeon about it. He said they needed to scan it during the episode to see if it was something kinking. I haven't had another episode yet to check it out, thankful about that. Please contact your surgeon about it, don't put it off.

i am also 18 months out, i epirienced similar problems at 12 months (internal hernia and gallblader) and 14 months (another internal hernia), severe pain, i initially went to my closest emergency room and they did all types of test and scans and found nothing, only treated me for pain, on both occasions, released me, then i was still expiriencing pain, and i ended up going to the hospital that did my gastric bypass surgery, and the found what my problem was and contacted my surgeon and i had emergency surgery done, pain is nothing to wait on, it can be life threatening, a kinked intestine can cause your your blood not to circulate, i was also told when you lose a great deal of weight, the fat is no longer there to insulate your intestines and things like this happens, good luck

Hi Tigs, thanks for writing. I would agree with the others who have written. It sounds like you have been to a doctor and the ER, but not your surgeon. You need to filter your stuff through your surgeon if you are not doing this. Gallbladder is irregular pain like you describe, it happens for a long time, then passes. Ulcers stay unless you medicate them. Some heal, but if it is aggrivated by scar tissue, it will not go away unless you remove the scar tissue. It sounds like your surgeon may need to visit things inside and take a peak. But pain is nothing to mess around with, please see them right away. Take care. Patricia P.

I am 4 yrs out and have experience the same thing at the same timeframe...for whatever reason, it seems that when people are about 6 months out to about 18 months the same thing, the same pain, the same area...it seems to happen again and again. The doctors can not find anything wrong and just as suddenly as it starts, it stops. No explaination is ever found. It seems to last from anywhere from a month to a couple of months...and then it is gone. Very strange but not unusual. Good luck, hope this helps settle your mind. Danette

Yes go see a doctor! The gallbladder issue is definitely nothing to mess with. If a stone get stuck in the common bile duct it could give you pancreatitis which is really painfull and can make you quite ill. I hope you feel better soon!

While I can't offer you any advice as to what the problem is, I suggest going to the ER next time you are experiencing this pain. You said that you have had CT Scan, Upper GI, and an MRI. My guess is that these tests were scheduled and done at a time when you were not having one of these episodes. If you have a problem that comes and goes, the best time to look for the cause is when it is happening! I get really severe pain when my esophagus spasms... I have found that *nothing* makes it feel better. I take Benadryl (has a million different uses) which lessens my anxiety and then I just try to sleep through it.
