Question:
I have hit a plateau for two weeks. How do I
get this moving again. I am making myself sick over this as this is the second time it has happened. I am worried that what i have lost is all i will lose. What can I do? — missyheffelfinger (posted on July 16, 2007)

i had rny dec. 4th 06 and have been losing weekly. i weight myself every
friday and thats it and the last two weeks ive been stuck at 214. i thought
i was at the end of the weight loss ride (im so optamistic, lol) but i
stuck to the diet of coarse, and last friday it happen, was down another
5lbs to 209lbs. even thou i didnt lose any wieght for those two weeks i
could tell a differnce in my clothes and body.
all i can say is just stick to the basic structure of the diet and it will
work for you.
keep your head up!!

I believe I posted on your other one that also stated you stopped losing.
Once again you have to shock your body-- example-- do different
exercises...like maybe just walk, or if your just walking, try some
crunches...make sure you get in all your water, and all your protein. Good
Luck!

stop getting on the scale. its making you frustrated. everyone is different
. example me. from the beginning , i wasnt one of those people who lost
weight every week . in fact i went 2 months without dropping a pund then
all of a sudden i lost 10lb. then another month later i didnt loose
anything. i was frustrated. so i decide to stop getting on the scale. but
however im loosing alot o inches. i drop 5 dress size.
be positive and patient ,it will come off. just not when you want it to
come off ok. good luck

This has happened to me 3 times now since my revision to RNY in January. I
just stayed the course and did not get on the scale for 2 weeks, got on
today and I was down another 10 lbs and I was only about 30 from goal, so
it will happen, I know someone telling you not to get frustrated does not
help, but I too beat myself up over this. If you are doing what you are
supposed to be, proper protein and diet it will happen. I have not cheated
until today, about 3oz of a wine cooler while at a concert, I will think
about that tomorrow, but I do not think that will hurt me, had my doc's
permission, LOL. He said that was the safest thing to drink and I would be
a cheap drunk after one 10oz bottle, so I only had a little. Fear of
dumping has kept me on the straight and narrow. But stay the course and
stay away from the scale for another week, I am sure it will start again,
it did for me. Best of luck to you, I know it is hard when you don't see
the scale move, just stick to your plan and it will kick in again.
