I would go back to the basics..I am pre-surgery..and on the liquid diet.....I would use the Protidiet to help you and go back to measuring your food for awhile...... Good-Luck to you :)

Hi... I am just about 4 1/2 months post op, so I am not as far out as you. But, I would say go back to basics. Measure the food, what the fat content, watch the sugar content. It is very easy to eat too much when you are not measuring. Do you exercise? If not, start exercising? Do you get enough water in daily, 2 qts? If not start drinking the water. Good luck...

I'd like to say ditto to those who have already posted and say go to www.self.com and register for the self challenge. This will get you a couple of weeks workout at a participating Gold's Gym -- most are participating. March 13th I'll be 3 weeks out and am able to work out already. Good luck, let us know if the suggestions work.

Hi Theresa, I'm having the same trouble too and I need help. I'm trying not to freak out over this but when I see the scale going the wrong way it makes me crazy. I'm 4 years out and would like to lose that amount of weight but due to joint disease exercise is awfully tough .My stomach or pouch has stretched some and a this allows me to eat more than I use to but this is what happens after returning to normal food. Now I'm thinking about diet pills and all that nonsense that I thought would be gone forever after WLS but I've got to stop this regain before it gets out of hand again. That's the one thing that I've learned to recognize from the surgery (see the problem and take it head on ). I'm not going back to where I came from and if I have to suck down protein drinks for and bars for 2-4 weeks and nothing else then that's what I'm willing to do . Let us know what works for you and remember to drink , drink and drink. (I'm bad when it comes to this too but I'm trying to get back on track !)

Teresa, I hired a nutritional counselor ( a diabetic counselor is good to use) to lose my last 50. Lower carb, lower fat, higher protein will do it. good luck

Hi. If you find a way, tell me! I am two years out, and I need to lose fifty more pounds (at least). Going back to basics and exercising is nothelping.

I feel for you! I am 6 years post op and had gained 70 pounds of the 200 that i had lost. I started "eating smart". Protien, Protien, Protien. Drink lots of water- get your butt moving. Since I started getting serious again, I have lost 20 pounds in less than a month. Only 50 more and I'm back at goal. You can do this!!!!
