Something is wrong here... You had surgery three years ago and you only
lost 20 lbs. and you never had a follow up appointment? There is something
TOTALLY WRONG with that, It is NOT normal! Find a real doctor and get
yourself checked... Either you did not follow the after surery diet or
something went terribly wrong with your surgery. Either way only losing
twenty pounds after surgery is outrageous! I have seen people eat their
way out of this surgery but still lose a significant amount of weight...
something isn't right! Get some help, as soon as you can!!!!

I'm confused, your profile says surgery 1987 your question says surgery
1993 and the first responder said you had surgery 3 years ago. When did
you have your surgery? You have had a constant infection for a decade?
please clarify so we can better help. But in the mean time you should
contact a nutritionist and/or bariatric surgeon immediately.

Sounds like something went wrong early on and having never been checked,
there has been a long history of not looking at the probable root cause.
Definitely schedule an appointment with a bariatric surgeon to see what is
going on. You could have something like a staple line abruption which
could explain both the lack of weight loss and the ill feelings and
infections. It may NOT be that, but this is the first thing that popped
into my head. Get checked soon.

Just want to say Hi, I am also in Indiana. I am looking to have surgery.
I like Dr. Lindsay at Johnson Memoral Hospital in Franklin. She does
revisions. She also says that if she does your surgery than she is your
doctor for life and she does require follow up appointments. I thought she
was very nice when I met her at the seminar. Good Luck. -Nicole-

well i haven't had my surgery yet, but when i went to see my surgeon last
week he said we would be partners in my weight loss for life and that a
week after surgery i will be going into the office for a check up and then
every other week for a few months and then it will go to once a month and
then down to once every 3 months and then to once every 6 months for 3
years then once a year there afterfor the rest of my life, so you not
having any check up afterwards realy frieghtens me about your surgeon. I
have never heard of how you got your surgery. even the book i bought
(Weight loss surgery for Dummies) says you will become your sergeons pal
for the rest of your life.. so please get it checked out by another weight
loss surgeon. Your life could possibly depend on it.
sending prayers your way
