Question:
i am 6 weeks post op lapband having tightness in the middle of my chest right after

swallowing it is extremely hard to get down certain fodd and painful but liquids go down fine this started happening after my 1st fill. i can also still eat as much as i want i have an appointment for a 2nd fill on the 7th . is it possible my band has slipped and the tightness and pain i feel is from the band being up too high around my esophagus    — KENT (posted on March 4, 2006)

Hey Amber .. congrats on your banding! This would happen to me sometimes, and I dealt with it by drinking a hot beverage like tea before I tried to eat. Try and make sure they do your next fill under fluoro and that way, they can check the placement and make sure it's OK. Good luck!

Hi This also happens to me when I eat certain foods more now since my 2nd fill and I am now about 3 months out and the tightness you feel is normal in that area I asked my Dr. about that cuz it happen a couple of times after my first fill and now since my 2nd it has happened more I just watch what causes it and just dont eat it anymore but if it worries you too much call your dr.
