Hi, oh yes, we are still prone to sickness. Not too long ago, I got a
really bad case of the stomach flu. I ended up in the ER getting
rehydrated and because they were concerned, they did a cat scan, but before
that, I had to drink this shake. My husband told them I had gastric bypass
surgery and it was a good thing he did, because they were going to have me
drink something carbenated. It is important that if you do get sick,
hydration is extremely important.

I have only had one incident of being sick and throwing up. I found it not
nearly the unpleasant experience that I had prior to my surgery. It was
more like a baby 'spitting up' and wasn't acidy. So, I don't dread it as
much. I'm 5 1/2 years post, and only one incident shows I'm in much better
health than I was previously, when I'd get this at least once a year! Of
course, your mileage may vary on this....but it is not a big deal to me. I
think, to help with fluid loss in the case of diarrhea, sucking on SF
popsicles constantly can be helpful....wish they made them in rootbeer
flavor. LOL.

I am three years out and have had morning sickness. It was difficult for
me to throw up, but I helped it along. The feeling in my stomach was much
worse than me helping it along. I have never thrown up post-rny on my own.
