Question:
Has any one had any luck with United Health Care Of Arkansas?

I called my insurance today to see if WLS was covered under United Health Care Of Arkansas and she was very quick to reply No! and I said even if it is deemed medically nescessary and before I could even finished she said NO again.What is my next step.I am going to a seminar next Tuesday at the Bariatric Weight Loss Center and am DETERMINED to have this surgery.I am 106 pounds Overweight with a BMI of 38.Can anyone give me any suggestions?? I'm not sure about your state, but in Illinois I was denied ONLY because the doctor does it laproscopically. They felt it was medically necessary, but want it done open, which my doctor refuses to do. I believe the Bariatric Center only does them open. I hope this helps you
