Question:
sugar cravings
How do I get rid of the sugar craving? Gaining weight from the need of sugar. Is it still ok to vomit when the pain gets bad enough from all the sugar? — Omee_2009 (posted on November 5, 2009)

Have you ever tried artificial sweeteners like Splenda. It's not of course
the same as sugar but I find that it does satisfy my sweet tooth. I add it
too unsweetened cereal, tea, ect. Also try natural sugars. When I want a
cookie or a piece of cake, go for the banana, mango, strawberry. That might
help.

no not force yourself to vomit..that is starting a habit you don't want to
develop. Instead try eating a sugar free candy, or fudgie. I would advise
everyone to avoid sugar like the plague. Why start down that road again?
The artificial sweeteners in the candy satisfies me. Not all sugar
substitutes are the same. If you can't find a candy with a sweetener you
like, make your own cookies or candy at home using splenda, equal ,truvia
,or alike. I am sure you can find one that agrees with you. Best of luck to
you! hugs,kim

once you let sugar back in it is hard to cut the cravings. They say a week
to detox from the sugar usually is enough to cut the cravings down. So you
would have as little or no carbs for one to two weeks to cut down the sugar
demons and then be careful about adding them back in.
