It depends on how much weight you have to lose> I never even thought
about it until I started to drool out of my mask and then I had lost all
but the last twenty pounds.

I had mine done at 8 months out when I started drooling out of my mask and
knew I was getting too much air. Unfortunately I still have to wear the
mask, the setting just went way down. A great improvement for me though.

My doctor had ordered a new sleep test, but the sleep center doctor said
not until I had lost between 150 and 200 lbs. I am at 152 lbs down, so
will be scheduling it soon. However, I really feel it should have been
done sooner, as I know I am not sleeping as well as the pressure is so
high.

I'm 16 mos. out, and my Dr. just lowered the pressure to 8. I have another
appointment in 4 mos. or sooner if I need to have the pressure lowered
again, once I get down to 6 they will do another sleep test. I will be
thrilled not to wear that mask ever again!
