No sure what youre asking. Did you regain?
There are many people on the Duodenal Switch forum that have had failed RNY
or lapband and have gone for a revision to DS.

Revisions are definately possible. You should ask your doctor? I am not
to sure that insurance would cover this though.

I know a woman that had a baby 10 months after surgery. She was able to
loose the weight from being pregnant. Also she is now having her third
since the surgery! I do know of few that had the surgery 2 times but i
think they paid for the 2nd. Not sure. Ask your Dr.

hello! congrats on your pregnancy, i hope things are well. i too got pg PO.
i got pg at 8 1/2 months out, and now have a beautiful baby boy. (my first)
in april, i will be 2 years out. I had gained 34# with pregnancy, and have
lost all of it and then some. i never thought i would see the underside of
200 again, but here i am! work hard, and tell yourself everyday that you
can do it. talk to a nutritionist if you must, and if you do need another
wls, more power to you. i am 59# from goal, and someday i might have wls
again to help it come off, i just dont think they would do it for 58# :)
take care, and if you have any questions, please feel free to email me, and
i will try to answer any questions you have. good luck!

if you get the revisiion try the stomaphyx. its a one day procedure non
surgical. research it on here and read more about it. have you tried the
five day pouch test.
www.lifeafterweightlosssurgery.com
or 5daypouchtest.com. and try it it helps to reduce your stomach. remeber
that surgery is a tool to help you loose weight . you have to help yourself
and not just rely on surgery.
you have to make a change in the way you eat and work out. and drink plenty
of water. the tool is still there. if not as your dr to exrays your
stomache to see if you stretch your pouch out again before getting another
procedure

Having a revision is a very serious matter. You CAN have a revision, but
check with your MD and explore on your OWN (google) to truly become an
expert on the risks and complications a revision can cause. I keep
remembering that "Wherever I go, there I am" with the knowledge
that If we don't deal with the underlying behaviors that caused us to gain
weight in the first place, we will relapse into obesity. I lost the weight
because I realized that I wasn't going to see my infant son grow to
adulthood. Hypertension, apnea, diabetes, joint pain, heart problems, I
had it ALL! To save my life, I opted for the surgery. I got really active
in the OH community and listened to people who'd had the surgery and to
what they were saying... I heard that a lot of them were gaining the
weight back and this scared me to the BONE, so I became a specialist in my
own disorder. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (who is not taking on
any clients because I am BOOKED. so this IS NOT AN AD!) so I KNOW about
obsessive behaviors and I KNOW myself! I did an extensive search of
"what works" because I was determined to be a SUCCESS STORY. My
biggest concern is that you might get a revision without dealing with the
ISSUES and THAT would be akin to suicide. I am sorry to be blunt, but I
shoot straight from the hip. You need to get good SUPPORT before you have
a revision, or the behaviors won't change and you'll burst your stomach. I
just wrote to another person on this site and gave my own personal recipe
for health, so I'll repeat it here. My heart is with you during this time
and I know you must be feeling frantic - at least, I know that is how I
would be feeling, if I were in your position. There IS help, there IS
support and NOW is the time to get it! Do NOT hesitate. You are
responsible for MORE than YOU now. YOU have a child, or children and that
makes this idea of getting healthy MUCH more important. We have a
responsibility to our children to raise them and to be around for them once
we've taken on the mantle of parenthood.
Here is my MIX for SUCCESS. FIRSTLY, start doing meridian tapping,
"EFT" (same principle as acupuncture, but without the needles),
it is VERY "user-friendly" can be EASILY done ANYWHERE and it
WORKS! The "basic recipe" is free, though I strongly suggest you
see a therapist who specializes in EFT and weight loss, because they are
SPECIALISTS at what they do. Also, DON'T go spending lots of money on
this! You can get a good therapist to work with who will be able to give
you the tools you need to make changes in 4-12 sessions. More than that
and you are now looking to THEM for YOUR answers and I don't think that is
ethical or healthy! The other tools I use in support of health lifestyle
are: I keep a journal. When I want to eat, I use EFT and then I journal.
Journaling can be a drag, but believe me, knowing the truth about what is
going on is a BIG piece in getting back "on track" and MUCH
easier than a revision! Thirdly, I WEIGH MYSELF EVERY OTHER DAY! Yup, I
am a BIG proponent of self-monitoring! If you are gaining, adjust your
food intake and exercise out-put! GET SUPPORT! Find a buddy to support
you in EFT, journaling, weighing, and exercise. When we have support, life
is MUCH easier! I have developed an excellent support system and guess
what? Doing it alone is NOT the answer! It feels MUCH BETTER to have
people who support you cheering you on when you have ugly life-stuff to
accomplish. This brings in the piece that for me, wraps the entire bundle
together. Accountability! Get a shrink, get support and get healthy
again! Dear One, if I can do this, YOU can do this ~ and KNOW that I am
holding the space for health and happiness for you! I wish you well, and
if you have any further questions, you can email me directly at
[email protected], or go to my site (I am booked and not taking any
patients right now, but you can get a better snap-shot of who I am and what
I do and I can refer you, or help you get started on the EFT).
