Are you going to general practice drs or surgeons? Sometimes general
practitioners aren't very favorable toward the surgery, so maybe that's the
problem? I know my surgeon (Dr. Chae at Skyridge in Denver) has done
revisions. You might want to check him out and see what he says. He is
amazing, actually teaches surgeons on the procedure.

I am not sure if Dr. Michael Snyder in Denver does revisions or not.

I am not in colorado, but this is just what I am thinking. With under 30
being considered normal BMI range, if you are at 40, how much would it take
for you to just work the extra wieght off without a revision? I know here,
they won't even look at you for WLS unless your BMI is 42 or higher. Best
of luck with whatever is best for you, it was just a thought.

I have several answers. First off, a revision from a what to a what. If you
want to another RnY or lapband, just about any bariatric surgeon can do it.
If you want a revision to a duodenal switch, then you will be met with some
resistance. Most bariatric surgeons do not do the DS and will try to steer
you away to get the RnY or lapband. If you would consider a DS, by far the
best way to go in my opinion, go to www.duodenalswitch.com and read all
about it or go to DS forum here on OH. Don't give up, keep checking out
things. Read my profile if you want to know why the DS is the best.
