I had my surgery through Barix Clinics and the provided me with tons of
recipes from protein shakes to meal ideas. Check out their web-site.

A friend of mine who had the surgery gave me an idea for a
"shake". SF frozen yogurt, skim milk. You can add protein powder,
flv or un flv, to add that added boost of protein and you can add fruit if
you'd like and are able to. As for smoothies, I can't help you too much
there, but hope that's a good idea for you. :) Good luck!!

Hi Cathy, I have not had surgery yet but I love making smoothies. I use a
small container of no sugar added yogurt, any flavor, a handful of frozen
berries which I buy in the freezer section of the grocery store (get the
ones without sugar!) then add a scoop or two of protein powder, I like
vanilla flavored, and then you need something to "loosen" it up a
little, so I add carrot juice. You can also use orange juice if the higher
sugar content won't bother you. Then taste it and add sweetener if you'd
like. I used to make them with honey but I think that could cause dumping
so that's why I stopped. Anyway if you use the frozen berries it's nice
and you don't need to add ice.

One frozen bananna, glass of skim milk and blend until smooth. Trust me you
will love it.
