Not in Tennessee, but in Pennsylvania at the KCH Surgical weight loss Program we have your insurance pay for all the preop testing or if no insurance it is 7000.00 and then 7000.00 for the actual surgery, so this self pay program ranges fron 7000.00 to 14000.00 max. April 2004 I was a self-pay at St Francis hospital in Memphis. At that time the cost (hospital, surgeon, anestistic) was about $25,000. GREAT surgeon and support team at St. Francis--I would not go to anyone else in Memphis. if you need more info from the weight loss center at St Francis call 901-765-1000. The surgery cost about same as new car. Get an old car and have the surgery--you'll be glad you did. 8 years from now the car will be worn OUT but you will feel and look better than ever.
