Question:
Has anyone been 5yrs+ post-op without complications then unexplained n/v
I had VBG in August of 2000, as far as complications, I have had none! I think that I could be the poster child for WLS. I have even since had a baby without complications 3 years ago, but for the last month or so, I have been having episodes of unexplained nausea and vomiting not related to anything that I have eaten, sometimes it happens when I haven't eaten anything at all. I am not pregnant, for sure!! I was wondering if anyone else had experienced something of this nature and if so, what it was linked to and/or what was done about it! Maybe it has nothing to with the WLS, but I am just grasping at straws at this point...if anyone has, I would sure appreciate some advice..THANKS! — mrinehart (posted on December 13, 2005)

Call your primary doctor. An endoscopy would give them a look at your
stomach to see if there's anything going on, like an ulcer. Best wishes.

Do you still have your gall bladder? I know when I had gall bladder
troubles it started out with N&V. You could also have developed an
ulcer, both things can be diagnosed easily with tests.

I had the VBG in 99 and began Nausea early last year. It turned out my
surgery had all but fallen apart. Maybe its time you had it checked and
sometimes a scope does NOT tell all. IN fact I was told nothing was wrong
until I had a revision and when they opened my surgery had fallen apart and
was litterally hanging in place.
