A food journal is a great idea. Also, if your surgeon has a dietician,
talking to him or her could help a lot. And, you can log your food intake
into www.fitday.com .. I use it every day and it helps me So Much. Good
luck!!

I heard a tip on drinking protein supplements.......sip them
slowly.......drinking them too fast can make many people nauseous.

I am over 2 years post op and have never had a protein supplement. The
thought of it makes me nauseous. How about getting protein from regular
food sources such as tuna, eggs, cheese, turkey, chicken, cottage cheese,
etc?

I also have arthritis and FMS. I could not exercise for many years.
However, now I swim and that is good exercise. Also, they have exercises
where you can sit in a chair. I think they are called "sit and be
fit", and you can order them online. It's a start, anyway. Also, if
you can, make your protein shakes very thin with lots of ice and water, and
they should go down easier.
