Most people lose the highest percentage of weight in the first 6 months
with only sticking to the rules. After that you HAVE to work at it.

wouldn't it be nice if we could all be perfect and follow every rule... of
course all the drs. and posters have their own ideas of what the rules are.
I think what is really important is how are you feeling. If you are not
happy with your rate of weight loss then maybe you need some support, ie a
support group you can meet with, a dietician, maybe a nurse who is
supportive, not judgemental. Do your best. I occasionally eat things that
are not the best choices, and am losing well. At 9 months post op I have
lost 105 #. and I continue to lose at a steady rate, around 5 # a month at
this time. It was faster in the beginning and is slowing down, as My Dr.
said is normal and expected. as he said if you continues that fast there
would be nothing left of you by summer. If you feel you are cheating a lot
and out of control with your eating, maybe you could seek theray. The
surgery only changes our stomach size, not our reasons for dysfunctional
eating. good luck, hang in there.
