Sorry that you had that experience! Next time somebody encourages you to
eat more, let them know that since you just had surgery your insides are
still swollen and you can't eat much at a time. If they press you, go ahead
and tell them it will make you sick to eat more. There is no shame in it.
For those who still push, tell them you are following your doctor's orders!
Good luck!

Overeating just results in getting ill and just tell people that. Warn them
if I eat more I will likely throw up on you!! That should discourage
them.....

Luckily it isn't possible to stretch out your new little pouch by
overeating just a couple of times. Uncomfortable feeling yes!!! but
permanently stretched out no... It is really hard when those around us try
and conform us or keep us like we were before, but this is where you have
to be strong and just "know" that when you are full and stop
eating you can politely tell them you are full. After all, you are doing
what is best for you in your new life. My mother-in-law knows I had the
surgery done and also knows that my hubby and 3 kids are on a serious
weight loss program as they are all overweight, but what does she send out
for Christmas? Dark chocolate turtles and caramel corn! I asked hubby if
she realized that we are now eating completely differently and don't eat
that kind of stuff anymore, and he said she knows it, but just refuses to
acknowledge it. Sad... but we will probably always meet or have people
around us that will try and push food onto us. Good luck and just get back
to eating the amounts that you know you can handle at this time...
