Question:
Has anyone used Walter LIndstrom with success

I see his name alot here, but has any member actually had him get an approval for them. My appeal has been denied and I need help. Should he be my next step. Or should I try the insurance commisioner in my state first.    — [Anonymous] (posted on March 17, 2000)

I noticed that no one's answered you yet, so I thought I would pitch in my two cents. I did not personally use him, but I know two people that have. One had the BPD/DS as an exclusion, and Walter and Dr. Gary Anthone helped her appeal the exclusion... and won. The second person was denied based on medical necessity (at more than 500 lbs. -- isn't that horrid?) and was denied again on appeal, even with Walter assisting. Hope this helps.

What about in an employment discrimination case to include denial of family leave?

I used Walter for my appeal with Cigna for Seniors HMO after I was denied. He handled the appeal and I had surgery Dec "99. I am one happy camper!

I just got my approval on Sept. 13, 2001. I wanted to let everyone know that Walter is awesome. He and his wife Kelley did a great job on my case. I have Cigna and they nailed them to the cross.

I had a very poor experience with Walter Lindstrom and would not recommend him. I have now hired a new lawyer with WLS experience. Gary J. Viscio, Esq. Resnikoff & Viscio, PC 145 Willis Avenue Mineola, New York 11501 (516) 742-5300 Fax (516) 742-8130 [email protected]

I hired him back in 1997 and lost the case with a BMI or 60 and weighed 420 lbs. I also had a ton of comorbities. How in the heck could he lose this case ? I should have hired another lawyer and I did not. I ended up paying over $20.000 for my RNY and just had a revision July 2 2008 for a extended rny. My insurance paid with no problem.
