Question:
Weird tingling/oozing feeling immediately after drinking anything? (2 wks out)

Hi all! Had VSG surgery 2 weeks ago. Yesterday I challenged my sleeve with some soft food (~3 tablespoons of hummus). I know that was bad. I've thoroughly chastised myself, and I'm going back to liquids for another few days before I try more mushies. My sleeve felt sore all day afterward, but is doing better. Now, though, when I'm sip-sip-sipping my water, I get these weird tingling/oozing sensations throughout my upper and lower abdomen. My first panicky instinct was "Leak!" but I haven't heard of anyone having that sensation when they get a leak. Plus, it's not in one specific place. So has anyone else had this weird sensation? It's not a pain, per se, but it makes me feel nervous. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!    — xenophile81 (posted on January 12, 2012)

Hi, my advice to you is to call your surgeon ASAPand explain to him whats going on, he is the only one that can answer that question for yoy...wether its a leak ir slippeage of the sleeve....he will have you come in and run some test....good luck

Call your surgeon, you ate nothing hard, so I suspect what you are feeling is re-injured stomach lining, but, call your surgeon. I hope everything goes well. Drink the liquids, follow the protocol and everything will be great!
