Question:
Where can I go to get a copy of the restaurant card my old one wore out

My surgeon gave me one, but I've never had to use it. I've found most
restaurants, (all that I've gone to), allow anyone to order off of the
childrens' menu :).

Wow! Maybe I need to move to where you live! Yes, you get the card from
the surgeon, or you can make your own and fancy it up if you like. In my
area (the Greater Seattle area) no restaurant has ever let me order off the
child's menu. A meager number of times, after much persuasion, I was
"allowed" but made to feel most uncomfortable doing so by the
restaurant staff folks. But, I pray you have better success than I have;
however, all that said, I much prefer eating in my own home because I find
the typical restaurant food in my area not suitable for folks who need to
keep protein first, second, and third, and keep the total calories to less
than 1,000 calories per day. Restaurants in my area love to serve white
bread, white pastries, ice-cream this and that, sugared this and that,
deep-fried this and that, smothered-with-cream this and that, etc. I much
prefer keeping my weight right where it is and keeping my body healthy.
By making my own meals, I can properly plan my nutrition, eat very healthy
and satisfying meals, and save lots of money as well. When you get your
new card, to preserve it, have it heat-sealed in plastic, so it won't wear
out. Blessings,

I live in the north east Boston area, and over here, every restaurant
allows you to order from the kids menu...new York as well...anywere in the
north east...
but to help ease your stress. you can order a meal, and ask for a saucer
plate...then I can divide your meal and have the rest to take home...also,
when ordering soup, have them put it in a "cup" instead of a
bowl...

I do one better than a saucer plate and ask the server to bring me my to go
box with my meal because "I'm not very hungry". It throws off
their rythym but they do it and I tip them nicely. I received the card
from my surgeon but also from Celebrate Vitamins along with an order! To
preserve my cards I "laminate" them at home by using packing tape
on both sides and trimming to fit. :-)

I never heard about this restaurant card?? I live in Boston and had the
lap-band. Does the card go to patients that had that surgery?? That's why
I hate going out because I can't eat a big meal...

I live in Iowa and never got a restaurant card, but a friend who had the
band done did get one. Wish I had. I waste a lot of food when I go out to
eat. Seems I never want it for leftovers after I get it home.
