That is a question only your surgeon can answer....from what I understand
it depends how many surgeries you have had and if there is a lot of scar
tissue. If you have only had one surgery I would imagine that shouldn't be
a problem. I think they are more hesitant with people who have had
mutliple abdomenal surgeries.... I had my gallbladder removed
laproscopically and I am having RNY Laproscopically tomorrow..... one
abdominal surgery that I healed wonderfully from... talk to your
surgeon....

I agree with Windy. Talk to your surgeon.

I agree again with previous posters only your doctor can answer. I will
share that I have had my gall bladder removed, a hysterectomy, and 2
cesarean sections. I had my laproscopic VSG surgery on March 25 and
everything went fine. So hopefully everything will go great for you too.

You will need to talk to the doctor but since the intestines have already
been altered it may make the bypass hard to do. It could hamper absorbtion
even more than they bypass by itself. It depends on how much bowel they
removed. The lapband or sleeve may be your better option.
