hi i had my surgery on 2/19/09. my doc asked me things like: why do i
want to loose weight? how long have i been overweight? what methods have
i tried in the past to loose weight? do i have a weight related health
problems? what are my realistic expectations and goals for this surgery?
am i prepared to completely change my life and work very hard? what kind
of support system so you have? ....there were many more but i can't
remember. they'll probably ask you ins questions. I also had to get
clearance from my MD. I needed an updated pap smear, physical, EKG, upper
GI xray and blood tests. Hope this helps. Let me know if need to know
anything else. good luck

Bring another person with you to the visit to have another set of eyes and
ears and to lend support. My doctor also asked what exercise I was doing
and told me to step it up to get stronger for surgery. Do your homework
before you go so you can ask questions and write them down because there is
so many things to ask we frequently forget. Good luck.
