Question:
itchy skin???

Hi all. Has anyone experienced itchy skin especially around the stomach area. I have been applying lotion but it is still itchy. Could this be from losing weight and inches? Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.    — sassy1696 (posted on April 14, 2009)

Im almost a month out, and experienced itchy skin that later turned into red itchy rashes that spread all over my legs, stomach, back.....everywhere. I initially thought it was from the pain meds. I stopped taking them, but the itching continued for another 7 days.... I googled my only other medicine which was nexium and that was a side affect. I stopped taking it, my dr. prescribed me some "ATARAX" (thanks to someone's answer to my "itchy red rash question that I posted)after 2 days of the atarax everything cleared up and I no longer itch or take nexium. I actually itched for almost 3 weeks....it was horrible!!! All the while taking benadryl by mouth and going thru tube after tube of creams!! I hope this helps.
