Hi, I had a lap band about 5 wks. ago & have not had this trouble. Sounds as if you should talk to your medical team, perhaps including a dentist. It could be a vitamin deficiency ... I hope you get some relief. Good luck! Write any time - I could use any input as far as what you're eating. Thanks! Take care, Barbara W. [aka, Oakroom]

Don't worry! I am a dentist, and had myself a lap band surgery performed a week ago. Your teeth and gum need to be able able to masticate to be haelthy, it's what they're here ! As you don't ( as I suppose you're still on a liquid diet, or barely finished it), your gums become swollen and can bleed. To treat that, you need to chew (gum so far...) and have an extra good hygiene. To help, you shoud use some liquid Listerine (or any other brand) after brushing. Don't ignore the problem as inflammation leads to bone loss if not treated, but if you do what I told you, no worries, as at a beginning stage, it's totally reversible! Good lick with everything!!!

Don't forget to take a good "liquid" vitamin / mineral supplement like VEMMA. It has 1000 IU vitamin D3,very important for calcium absorption, along with calcium citrate. Your body will take calcium from your bones and teeth if you don't supply the needed calcium. Go to www.TrySomeVemma.com
