They require you pay your copay or out of pocket deductible depending on
your insurance. The office visit is almost 700.00 and you have to pay what
ever your share of the visit is. They charge it as a consultation fee and
education fee. I think it is to see how your insurance is going to pay but
not sure. Hope this helps!

Oksay so I know this is off topic but Dr. Jawad is amazing!!! I was so
nervous before my surgery and I went on the website youtube.com and they
have a video of an actual surgery dr. Jawad performed. It was so cool. Too
bad he is in Florida and I am in NY. Good luck with your surgery. If you
want send me a message and ill send you a link to that video.

My Dr. Charged a $50 fee at the time that you filled out your paperwork for
your additional visit. The actual visit was under my insurance so whatever
you usually pay to go to a Dr. or Surgeon, I have a co-pay. The $50 is to
help pay for the support groups and if you are not selected for the program
then you get the $50 back.

I had to pay $250 up front and another fee for per-op education. My
insurance wound up paying the $250 but not the other...can't remember how
much it was but could look it up. I had to pay hospital up front for what
they calculated my co-pay to be. Dr. Jawaad's fees are on his website.

My surgeon charges $500 flat fee for the education and follow up
education. I totally get it, it includes Nutrition, meetings and all the
other educational stuff.
